Kenmount Crossing Commercial / Industrial Development Phase 1 & 2

Client: H3 Development Ltd.
Location: St. John’s, Newfoundland

Kenmount Crossing is a commercial/industrial development comprising over 44.8 Ha. The project included design and construction of the internal road network, future signalized intersection with Kenmount Road, water and sanitary sewer servicing, storm sewer servicing and stormwater management including stormwater detention. Work included design and construction of the following:

  • Water transmission mains (1.25km, 500m dia)
  • Water distribution lines (300mm dia) and service lines
  • Water pressure booster system and building to deliver fire flows
  • Sanitary sewer system including sewage pump station
  • Storm sewer system & XPSWMM modelling of storm sewer system
  • Stormwater detention system to comply with City’s Zero Net Runoff policy
  • Paved road network consisting of with two lanes plus median lane complete with curb, gutter and sidewalk
  • Mass fill/excavation and site grading

Engineering Design, Project Management

As prime consultant, CAP completed concept development, detailed design, site inspection and contract administration for the entire project.  Harbourside Transportation Consultants (HTC) and Rowsell Appleby Newton (RAN) acted as the sub-consultants for the transportation, mechanical & electrical engineering services.  Our involvement included but was not limited to:
