At 230-kV and 300 km long, the I1K Transmission Line runs from Island Falls to Key Lake in northern Saskatchewan. This project involved foundation construction, the installation of 900 transmission towers, wire stringing, and related project management.

Our Role

CAP provided geotechnical and survey services. On the geotechnical side, CAP completed investigations (complete with boreholes) and provided foundation construction recommendations at 29 locations along the north section of the line. For the survey component, CAP carried out verification surveys along the proposed route to confirm design alignments and assumptions.
