Highway 680 & Highway 727

This Alberta Transportation project consisted of 14.6 km of base and paving on Highway 680:02 and 18.4 km of final stage paving on Highway 727:02. Reconstruction of Highway 680:02 was completed in 2013, and base and first stage paving of Highway 727:02 was completed in 2012, both under separate contracts.

Johnson 281S Site Prep and Foundations

The Johnson 281S Substation is a new 240-kV/138-kV switching station located west of Didsbury. This substation required 1.5 km of transmission line to connect it to an existing line.

High River & Okotoks Substations

This project involved the expansion of High River’s and Okotoks’ substations. For the Okotoks substation, 11 concrete pile foundations and 1 circuit breaker pad foundation were installed.

Red Chris 287KV Transmission Line

In November 2013 Rokstad Power Corporation began construction on BC Hydro’s 287kV Northwest Transmission Line project from Bob Quinn to Tatogga, BC. 

Black Spruce 154S Site Grading

The Black Spruce 154S Substation is a new 240-kV switching station located 35 km south of Conklin, Alberta, on the Cenovus Christina Lake Project Site. This substation provides reliable power to the oil industry in that region. Site preparation, grading, and an access road were necessary for this project.

Ross River Road and Drainage Updates

Situated on the south bank of the Pelly River, Ross River is a small community in east-central Yukon. Cyclical spring thaws and ice jams caused Pelly River to flood into Ross River’s low-lying areas.

Shakwak Highway

The Government of Yukon required quality and quantity control services for two warm mix asphalt pavement (WMAP) projects on Shakwak Highway.

NE Loop Transmission Line

Fort McMurray and the surrounding oil sands area has experienced substantial industrial growth and as a result the need for improved infrastructure has become a major issue for most of the large projects taking place in the area.

Forrest Kerr Hydroelectric Survey

Located in British Columbia, 1,000 km northwest of Vancouver, Forrest Kerr is a 195-MW run-of-river hydroelectric project. This facility captures the immense energy produced by the natural flow and elevation drop of the Iskut River.
